Shungite 'The Stone of Life' Shungite is a rare black stone found only in the Karelia region, beside Lake Onega, in Russia. It is thought to be at least 2 billion years old. The deposit is over nine thousand square km. Shungite consists of almost all the minerals on the periodic table and has a very unique composition. It contains fullerines which are 3-D sperical molecules made of 60 carbon atoms, these are called buckyballs and are the reason Shungite is a Master Healer.
